Puma Firefly Match Ball
Puma came to Adobe wanting its New York flagship (25,000 square feet on Fifth Avenue, timed to the Premier League partnership) to do something no static in-store display could: let shoppers actually touch Firefly's generative capabilities, not just see a poster about them. The catch was the runway: a $250K budget and six weeks from concept to launch, with a full-store buildout riding on it.
I designed the concept and initial brief: an iPad kiosk experience where shoppers pick keywords, a vibe, and a color story, and Firefly generates a custom match ball design on the spot. From there, Master of Shapes, the agency we brought in, built out the full interactive workflow from my brief and design: signing a design "Made by [name] / Made with Adobe," posting it to a live gallery wall inside the store, and printing it onto a giveaway jersey shoppers walked out with. Master of Shapes also produced the full deployment specs across more than seven screen and signage locations throughout the flagship, while I reviewed and approved all the design and motion before it went live.
The activation deployed across the full store on schedule, inside that six-week window. It worked well enough that the same interaction pattern (customize, sign, display, take home) became the direct template for Adobe's later Firefly helmet experience with the NFL. Usain Bolt and Sergio "Kun" Agüero both stopped by the flagship and tried it themselves, generating their own custom match balls on the spot.
