Adobe released the Image 3 model for Firefly, its generative AI image tool, in April 2024, and I conceived and produced the sizzle reel that announced it, built entirely around art created with Firefly itself.

The concept was a build: a graphic count-off in Roman numerals, using Firefly’s new Structure feature to construct the countdown as a visual crescendo. From there it cut into a rapid cycle of eye-catching, Firefly-generated images spanning detailed art, flat art, photo landscapes, line art, neon, abstract, photography, illustration, type, and 3D, cut to an upbeat, punchy soundtrack, before landing on a simple announcement message over a grid of that same imagery.

I laid out the initial storyboards in Figma with Firefly placeholder imagery, then built an animatic to share the concept, pacing, and musical direction I had in mind. From there, art development was a group effort: Alejandro Chavetta, E Larson, and Sheila Vu all contributed alongside me, with Maile Valentine writing the announcement copy, Keith Black producing video, and Very True Story handling motion graphics.
